  Scholarships

Scholarships

Pepperdine University offers various scholarships for international students, as well as an American co-signer loan option.

The Regents Scholars Awards

Pepperdine University's Regents Scholars Program is incredibly competitive and based on the holistic review of the application process. Only the top 8%-10% of the admitted class are selected to receive this award. Students are evaluated on their academic merit, as defined by their unweighted recalculated GPA, and transcripts which show course rigor and trends. As admission to Pepperdine is already highly selective, scholarship recipients are exemplary students and have earned the highest combination of GPA and academic excellence in the incoming class. Regents Scholars Program scholarships are renewable for as many as four years or eight semesters total. Regents' scholars and Blanche E. Seaver Scholars must maintain a 3.25 Pepperdine cumulative GPA, full-time status and may not be placed on academic probation while at Pepperdine. There is not an appeals process for these scholarships.

Blanche E. Seaver International Scholars' Awards

All admitted students are automatically considered for the Blanche E. Seaver International Scholars' Awards. Students do not need to apply for this scholarship. This merit-based scholarship is offered to a limited number of candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Charles Lam Scholarship

Range: $8,000-$10,000 per year
This scholarship, established by Mr. Charles Lam for Chinese students who wish to attend Seaver College, is offered each semester. Loans

The Financial Assistance Office at Pepperdine has approved a loan program for international students. You may view educational loan options by visiting the Financial Assistance loan webpage.

Various private lending institutions offer private or alternative educational loans to international students. Most lending institutions require that you have a co-signer who is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid social security number in order to qualify. For more information, contact Citibank at 800.745.5473.

Graduate Students

The following costs are based on expenses for the first 12 months of your program of study. All expenses are estimated costs for the first full year of your academic program and calculated for the purpose of the issuance of the Form I-20 which is required to obtain your F1 student visa.

  • Tuition is based on the tuition cost per unit rate for the 2023-24 academic year and the estimated total units for the first full year of each academic program.
  • Living costs are estimated expenses that include housing and food calculated for the first full year of your academic program.
  • Other costs are estimated expenses that include books, supplies, transportation, personal expenses, the University wellness fee and health insurance for the first full year of your academic program.

Note: If you have a dependent, please add $1,000 per mont for each dependent ($12,000 for the first full year of study) to the total cost of attendance. All rates are subject to change.

Because the University does not offer financial aid for international students, nor does it have emergency or other funding available after enrollment, students should ensure they can fund the entirety of their education and living expenses.
