About WAVES WORSHIP
WAVES WORSHIP is a homegrown worship movement at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. A collaboration between students, staff, and alumni, WAVES WORSHIP is a reflection of the move of God within this generation that aims to capture the songs God is singing over the Pepperdine campus community and the heartcries the community is singing back to Him. Marked by purity, truth, and intimacy with the heart of the Father, WAVES WORSHIP is a family overflowing with unlimited creative expression for this generation to authentically encounter Christ.
What We Do
Live Worship
- We lead worship at The Well.
- We are on volunteer teams at The Well.
- We host worship gatherings for the Pepperdine community.
Original Music
- We write and record songs that give glory to God and resonate with our generation.
- We write songs with the hope of reaching our generation with the love of Jesus.
Outreach
- We participate in local and broad outreach.
- We lead worship at youth camps, churches, and events in California and beyond.

Our Inspiration
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. (John 4:23)

To sheperd a creative community in responding to God's Presence through song, words, and art.
To consistently host spaces of collaboration rooted in true relationship with Jesus and one another.
To co-write with the Holy Spirit in an outpouting of intimacy and truth.
