Pepperdine University’s WAVES WORSHIP releases debut single
MALIBU, Calif. — Pepperdine University is proud to announce that WAVES WORSHIP, a homegrown worship collective on Pepperdine’s Malibu campus, released their debut single, “LET IT FALL” today. “LET IT FALL” is available across all streaming platforms—listen now.
WAVES WORSHIP was created through collaboration between students, staff, and alumni with the goal of active participation with God in what He is doing within this generation. The group aims to capture the songs God is singing over the Pepperdine campus community and the songs of response that students and staff across campus are singing back to Him.
“WAVES WORSHIP is much more of a creative community for Christ than a band,” said Ku Ko, Worship Director for WAVES WORSHIP. “What an honor it is to equip this young generation with the heart of worship that overflows with songs and melodies of truth and Kingdom life.”
Marked by purity, truth, and intimacy with the heart of the Father, WAVES WORSHIP is a family overflowing with unlimited creative expression for this generation to authentically encounter Christ.
WAVES WORSHIP is deeply invested on Pepperdine’s campus and in the wider community. In addition to leading worship at The Well and hosting worship gatherings for Pepperdine, the group also records original music and leads outreach efforts by using their musical gifts at youth camps, area churches, and state events.
“There is truly a creative anointing in our midst,” said Lily Salanty, WAVES WORSHIP’s Associate Director of Worship. “WAVES WORSHIP is simply a close community of students, staff, and alumni coming together to encounter the Lord. The songs are a beautiful reflection of what we hear the Lord singing over this campus and generation, and our own heart cries back to Him. God’s fingerprints are all over this.”
