Online SLPMALIBU, Calif. – Pepperdine University’s College of Health Science is now accepting applications for its online Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP) program. The MS-SLP program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to become compassionate and effective speech-language pathologists.

“Our program reflects Pepperdine’s dedication to academic excellence and serving others,” said Dr. Michael Feltner, founding dean of the College of Health Science. “As a Christian university committed to academic excellence, Pepperdine is well positioned to deliver exceptional educational opportunities for speech-language pathology students who want to pursue lives of purpose, service, and leadership.”

The MS-SLP program has flexible learning options. Students can choose full-time or part-time schedules with weekly online classes and three in-person experiences at Pepperdine’s Calabasas campus. Students will complete over 400 supervised clinical hours in pediatric and adult care settings, gaining hands-on experience preparing students to sit for the Praxis Exam and licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.

Pepperdine’s curriculum emphasizes holistic care while addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients. Students in the program will benefit from close mentorship by experienced faculty who bring a wealth of clinical and research expertise.

Dr. Leah Fullman, the inaugural dean of the School of Speech-Language Pathology comes to Pepperdine with a depth of experience as a clinician, researcher, and academician. Fullman highlights the program’s mission: “We aim to develop speech-language pathologists who lead with empathy and make a meaningful difference in the lives of their patients.”
