Celebrate the Season with Pepperdine Libraries' Holiday Guide
As the holiday season draws near, Pepperdine Libraries invites the University community to embrace the Christmas spirit with a variety of offerings. From engaging activities in the Genesis Lab to carefully curated reading lists, audiobooks, videos, and more, faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to explore the wealth of content available.
“Our libraries strive to serve the wide-ranging needs of the Pepperdine community,” shared Mark Roosa, Pepperdine's dean of libraries. “The holiday season offers a wonderful opportunity to organize fun and creative activities for faculty, students, and staff, fostering the Christmas spirit while also highlighting Pepperdine's commitment to providing a vibrant and enriching educational experience."
Make Your Own Mini Gingerbread House
Tuesday, December 3, to Wednesday, December 4 | 10 AM–5 PM | Payson Library
Students are invited to create and take home their own mini gingerbread houses in Payson Library. As the semester comes to a close, this festive activity provides a fun and sweet break from studying, giving students a boost of energy as they prepare for finals. The activity will be available Tuesday and Wednesday morning, or until supplies last. Students can find materials by the Payson circulation desk.
Crafting Cheer: 3D-Printed Ornament Decorating and Holiday Card Making

Stop by the Genesis Lab for holiday activities, including decorating 3D-printed ornaments and crafting personalized holiday cards. The Libraries team will provide all the materials, supplies, and guidance needed to create one-of-a-kind decorations. Join for a fun, creative experience and make lasting memories with fellow makers in a cozy and welcoming environment.
iLab Holiday Workshop

The Pepperdine community is invited to the iLab Holiday Workshop, where participants can decorate 3D-printed creations that make the perfect gifts for the season. Stop by to craft personalized presents for friends and family and wrap them in festive holiday paper. Take some time to relax and enjoy games or work on holiday-themed puzzles as we celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Drescher Library Holiday Reading List
The Drescher Library has organized a festive holiday reading list for the Pepperdine community to enjoy with their families during the Christmas season. The list features a range of books for different age groups, from young children to teens, with stories that celebrate the spirit of the holidays, cultural connection, and family traditions.
Online Christmas Season Resources
Pepperdine Libraries has created a collection of holiday-themed resources available online to faculty, staff, and students. The list features a variety of digital materials, including audiobooks, streaming videos, and films, all designed to help the Pepperdine community get into the holiday spirit. These resources are accessible through the Libraries’ institutional subscriptions to platforms such as medici.tv and Academic Video Online.
