Getting Started on PeppConnect
Leverage the connections you've built during your time at Pepperdine and take advantage of the global network of alumni who are willing to help! The PeppConnect platform offers a place for alumni and students to connect with Pepperdine and each other in a meaningful way. Here's a step-by-step guide to get you started building your personal and professional network on PeppConnect:

If you're logging in for the first time, you will need to thoroughly answer the profile questions and request to join. Note that it may take 2 business days for your request to be approved.
Once you're logged into PeppConnect, click on the top right and complete your profile. You can sync with LinkedIn, or make sure to upload a photo and include past and present work experience, interests, willingness to help, and more.
Your profile acts as an introduction, and helps Waves get to know you better!
Mentoring: One of the many ways PeppConnect can help you expand your network is through the mentorship program. Over 1,100 students and alumni are requesting mentoring by Pepperdine Alumni. You can offer to be a mentor, or even request a mentor of your own by logging in to PeppConnect and updating your profile and mentoring settings, and visiting the "mentorship" tab on the left side navigation.
Alumni Directory: Search the directory to connect with over 100,000 members of the Pepperdine community. You can invite other alumni to join PeppConnect, or connect directly with users through video chat, messaging, or meeting requests directly from PeppConnect. Use this feature to find and connect with other Waves in your region, industry, class year, or school.
Groups: Join or create a group based on school or grad year, affinity groups and extra-curricular activities, area of study, interests, industry or career groups, and more! The Groups feature on PeppConnect will allow you to create events, communicate, and share information, and can help get you connected with mentorship and career opportunities.
Events: Do you want to host or promote an exciting upcoming event, or search for an event near you? Now you can even host a virtual event within a group! The PeppConnect Events board lets you find and register for events that interest you.
Hundreds of local and national jobs are posted weekly. Job seekers can search by industry or job type, location, or even search for jobs posted by alumni. If you're looking to hire a Wave, Visit the PeppConnect Jobs page > Select the "Post New Job" > Fill in the job details and choose how to receive applications. Make sure to check the "Posted by Alumni'' box! Need targeted promotion to students? Let the Career Services team know about your desired audience, and they will assist you with student recruitment.
The PeppConnect Business Directory is a powerful tool that helps alumni promote their businesses to the entire PeppConnect community. Search the Business Directory to find a business near you to take advantage of special offers, or post your business for FREE promotion to the Pepperdine community.
