Seaver College Dean Search
Pepperdine University is seeking a new dean of Seaver College to succeed Michael Feltner, who concluded his appointment as the school’s dean on July 31, 2023, after serving nine years in the role. Dean Feltner currently serves as the founding dean of Pepperdine’s College of Health Science. Lee Kats currently serves as the interim dean of Seaver College.
As the academic leader of Pepperdine University’s liberal arts undergraduate school, the next dean of Seaver College will advance the school’s mission to integrate faith and learning and lead faculty in fostering a dynamic intellectual community on campus.
The dean of Seaver College serves as the chief academic and administrative officer
of the college and reports to the University provost. The dean is responsible for
overseeing enrollment, curriculum, strategic planning, budget, student affairs, international
programs, and personnel of the college. Reporting to the dean are the associate deans,
academic divisional deans, and the deans of International Programs, Enrollment Management,
